Our Front Office is responsible for student attendance and visitors and is staffed from 8:30am - 5:15pm on school days.
We have visitor parking spots, as well as accessible parking on the north side of our building on Energy Park Drive.

To inform us of a late arrival or early departure, please use this form or scan the QR code to the right. All changes must be finalized no later than 2:45pm. After this time, staff are attending to students for end-of-day procedures and are unavailable to deliver messages to students and guides. Any permanent or recurring changes should be sent to attendance@greatriverschool.org.

Great River knows that some of the most equity-focused work we can do is ensure that students & caregivers feel well-informed about happenings at the school.

Announcement Blogs & Automated tri-weekly Digest Emails
Our Announcements Blog is hosted on our website at www.greatriverschool.org/announcements. We regularly update this page with non-urgent school announcements (upcoming events & activities, volunteer opportunities, etc).
We use an email service to send new announcements tri-weekly, on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. All families will be opted into these level-specific announcements at the beginning of the year and will receive an email digest of any announcements. If you don’t want to receive these emails, you can unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of the email update. You can always check what is being posted by going straight to www.greatriverschool.org/announcements or by checking the level-specific links below:

In case of urgent communication, you will receive an email directly from David Núñez, Stacey Kreger or Great River School with more information.
Family Newsletters
GRS sends a monthly newsletter to families, usually on the first Monday of the month (with some exceptions, depending on the school calendar). These newsletters are to feature student accomplishments and events at the school. If you do not receive these messages, reach out to office@greatriverschool.org to make sure your contact information is updated!
Social Media:
GRS maintains our Facebook, Instagram, and Youtube pages.
We do not maintain or supervise the GRS family Facebook pages listed below, although they are good resources for connecting with fellow families.
Website: This is the primary home for resources for current families. Each level has their own tailored Family Resources page that is linked from the home page.
Necessary and Urgent Messages: The school will contact families via email, text, and/or voicemail. Robo-calls will be made for attendance for onsite students and other urgent messages will be sent by text and/or voicemail. This video from 2019-20 demonstrates how to ensure your contact numbers and email are accurate through PowerSchool.
