Adolescent Instructional Program Director

The Instructional Program Director serves as an administrative school manager and leader of the Adolescent program. The Director will provide oversight, management, and leadership of the Adolescent program (grades 7-12), specifically focusing curriculum, pedagogy, assessment and coaching guides.  The Instructional Program Director works in close collaboration with the Adolescent Operations Program Director, who supervises and manages all logistical and operations components of the Adolescent Program, including Key Experiences, Wednesday Montessori programming, scheduling and other logistics. The Instructional Program Director position is accountable for aligning practices and systems at the Adolescent to meet the mission and vision of the school. This role is responsible for addressing all instructional aspects of the program, collaborating with colleagues where appropriate, and carrying accountability for making the program work well for students and employees.

Adolescent Operations Program Director

The Operations Program Director will serve as an administrative school manager and leader of the Adolescent program. The Director will provide planning, management, and coordination of the Adolescent program (grades 7-12), specifically focusing the operational and logistical elements that are central to our mission and program, including Key Experiences, CAS, scheduling and other logistics.  The Operations Program Director works in close collaboration with the Adolescent Instructional Program Director, who provides oversight, management, and leadership of the Adolescent program (grades 7-12), specifically focusing curriculum, pedagogy, assessment and coaching guides. The Operations Program Director role is responsible for addressing all logistical aspects of the program, collaborating with colleagues where appropriate, and carrying accountability for making the program work well for students and employees.

Adolescent Science Guide

This position will teach science to adolescent students. A successful hire for this position would be experienced in the teaching of Chemistry and/or Physics.

The position is to work collaboratively within the Special Education Department and greater GRS community to support student development. Elementary and Extended Day Music Workshop Guide

Great River seeks a versatile, active and creative teacher to teach music and related interdisciplinary topics to children grades 1-6. This person will also provide structure and supervision during elementary recess and lunch time and instruction and supervision in the after care program. The schedule for this role would be working 8 hours daily from 9:45 am to 5:45 pm. This role seeks a creative, child-development minded music educator looking to make an impact in a Public Montessori setting.

Elementary Montessori Classroom Guide

The Elementary classroom guide leads the planning, organization, and support for a classroom of students in an authentic Montessori setting.

Adolescent Special Education - Education Assistant

The position is to work collaboratively within the Special Education Department and greater GRS community to support student development. The role of the Special Education Educational Assistant  is to further our mission to provide a quality Montessori / IB education through inspiring learning environments and strong relationships based on respect for the gifts of each student.

Classroom Assistant

This position supports the Montessori trained lead guide in an elementary classroom of around 32 students. Primary responsibilities include preparing and maintaining the classroom environment, supporting the daily schedule and routines, supporting students in being independent, material making, and contributing to the elementary team.

Extended Day Guide

(Part time - hours are steady but vary by employee). We accept applications on a rolling basis for possible openings in our elementary-aged extended hours program, Big Canoe Club. We are looking for energetic and enthusiastic staff to work mornings from 7:30-9:00 am and/or afternoons from 3:00-6:00 2-5 days per week. We are currently accepting applications for possible openings in fall 2025.
